【Large Screen & Backlight LCD Display】The Soil Tester uses a large LCD screen and white backlight to conveniently display and read digital parameter in day or dark.Use AAA1.5V * 4 batteries (not included),it will alert when the battery is low.
【Quick Accurate measurement】The latest probe detection technology in 2024 can quickly and accurately measure the pH, moisture and temperature in the soil, with the light intensity of the light sensor analysis on the instrument, it can allow you to know when to water, to control the pH and temperature acidity, and determine whether the plants have enough light to better cultivate the plants more scientifically.
【Easy to use】Just simply plug the probe into the soil about 4 inches(10cm) , wait 10 seconds to read intuitive data, and you will get an accurate and precise reading immediately.(This soil tester cannot be used directly to test any liquid. When measuring the soil, if the soil is too dry, do not insert it into dry and hard soil. Before testing, please water the soil test area and wait for 10 minutes, otherwise the testing machine will be damaged.)When testing soil pH and moisture, you need to read data from at least 5 locations in the soil. The average value of all the data will be the final soil pH and moisture.
【More convenient to read】The screen content adopts visual content design, which helps you read the data through specific values and easy to understand graphics, so that even novice growers can easily understand your soil conditions. The 45° rotating head design allows you to bend your head 0°-45°, allowing you to easily view the screen content without bending over.

Key Considerations

1

What it measures: moisture, pH, temperature and light — good for quick, multi-parameter checks but not a substitute for laboratory soil analysis.

2

Power & display: requires 4 × AAA batteries; features a large backlit LCD for day or low-light readings and a low-battery alert.

3

Probe use & insertion depth: manufacturer recommends inserting the probe about 4 inches (10 cm) into the soil and waiting ~10 seconds for a stable read; avoid inserting into very dry, hard soil without pre-watering.

4

Accuracy & best practice: designed for quick, directional guidance — for pH and nutrients, take multiple readings (5 locations suggested) and average them; not lab-grade precision.

1

This tester’s primary value is speed and convenience — in roughly 10 seconds it reports four key variables that influence plant health: moisture (when to water), pH (suitability for different species), temperature (root zone conditions) and light intensity (placement). For everyday gardeners and hobbyists this lets you troubleshoot problems fast and adjust watering, potting mix or location without sending samples to a lab.

These factors represent the most critical aspects that will impact your satisfaction with this product.

5.0 out of 5 stars A must-have for growing plants in containers!

I purchased this Soil Tester to monitor the health of my plants which are all in containers. This meter is excellent in quality with highly useful features and I can't say enough good things about it! Instead of using the finger method of determining if the soil is wet enough, this meter gives me an accurate measurement so there's no over watering.

Final Verdict

The YAMRON 4-in-1 Soil Tester is a handy, budget-friendly tool for home gardeners and hobby growers who want quick, actionable feedback on watering, pH, temperature and light. Its strengths are multi-parameter speed, easy-to-read backlit display and user-friendly rotating head. To get reliable, useful results you should follow the listing’s recommended technique: insert the probe ~4" deep, avoid forcing into dry or rocky soil, take multiple spot-reads and average them, and clean/store the probe after use. For lab-level pH or nutrient analysis, send samples to a testing service — but for routine plant care this meter is a practical, low-cost decision aid.
