Storage & expansion: Built-in 16GB (stores ~2,000 MP3s) and supports microSD expansion up to 128GB — plan space according to your library and whether you use lossless files.
Audio formats & quality: Supports MP3/WMA/OGG/WAV/APE/FLAC/AAC-LC/ACELP — good for casual lossless listening but the product does not claim audiophile DAC hardware. Note format limitations (APE/FLAC requirements).
Battery life & charging: 420 mAh Li-ion battery with manufacturer claim up to 70 hours playback and a ~1.5 hour full charge via Type-C — real life will vary with volume and features (FM, speaker).
Connectivity & use cases: Has AUX and USB (for file transfer and charging) and a built-in speaker. This model does not include Bluetooth — if you need wireless headphone support, choose a Bluetooth variant.
Simplicity vs features: Classic physical buttons and a small 1.8" screen make it easy for kids and workouts — no streaming apps or smartphone tethering. The UI is simple drag-and-drop for files.
Supports a wide range of formats including FLAC and APE (lossless) as well as MP3, WAV, OGG and AAC-LC — so it can play high-quality files. Product notes include an APE/FLAC requirement (8–48 kHz, certain bitrate limits). It does not explicitly support iTunes/Audible audiobooks without conversion.
These factors represent the most critical aspects that will impact your satisfaction with this product.
Amazing for the price! I wanted a 'cheap' MP3 player for when I'm mowing or doing stuff on the tractor, so that I wouldn't risk breaking my expensive Cowon player....figured I'd take a chance on this
My daughter was a long user of the Ruizu MP3 player until recently the button was spoilt. I came across this product as a substitute and found it similar to Ruizu. The main features I was looking for were: (1) long battery life, (2) fuss-free, simple to use and transfer songs, as well as (3) pretty design where possible.
