Interface & Protocol Compatibility — Ensuring your device (PC, laptop, console) supports M.2 2280 PCIe Gen4 ×4 NVMe drives.
Read/Write Speeds — Affects loading times, boot times, file transfer, game load times, and overall responsiveness.
Storage Capacity — Enough capacity for your use-case (games, OS, media, applications).
Heat Dissipation / Thermal Management — SSDs under sustained load can heat up: good cooling helps maintain performance and longevity.
Reliability & Durability (NAND quality, SLC cache, TBW, warranty) — Determines lifespan, data integrity, and long-term value.
For gaming or heavy workloads (video editing, large file transfers, etc.), high read/write speeds translate to shorter load times, smoother performance, and overall responsiveness. The “up to 4800 MB/s read / ~2900 MB/s write” makes a big difference, especially for demanding tasks.
These factors represent the most critical aspects that will impact your satisfaction with this product.
For the price, this is a pretty decent NVME drive. The Fanxiang 2tb drive came complete with all of the necessary materials (screw, screwdriver), was quite easy to set up and is working great so far in my desktop PC. Based on my observations during the past month or so, it's running a little bit faster than my previous (WD Blue) NVME and I've noticed that some applications are starting up noticeably quicker too. Overall, a pretty solid purchase.
Easy install, zero issues after months of use on PS5
