The Escort MAX 360 MKII is a high-end radar and laser detector designed for drivers who want advanced warning of radar/laser speed traps and other radar-based enforcement technologies. It features a revamped internal platform (the “M13” dual-antenna system), a powerful signal-processing chip, and enhanced false-alert filtering. The device aims to give “true 360° awareness,” meaning it can detect threats from any direction, and uses directional arrow indicators to help drivers know where a radar/laser source is located. The system also supports GPS-based “AutoLearn” to reduce false alerts over time, and connects to a community alert network (via the “Drive Smarter” platform) — integrating with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for in-car display of alerts.

Detection Range & Sensitivity — how far away can the detector pick up radar/laser signals? Longer detection range gives the driver more reaction time.
Directional Awareness / Source Localization — whether the detector indicates direction (front, rear, side) of the radar source, which helps situational awareness and decision-making.
False Alerts & Filtering Accuracy — radar detectors can pick up many “innocent” signals (like vehicle blind-spot sensors, collision-avoidance radars), so good filtering reduces noise and only alerts on real threats.
Processing Speed / Response Time — how quickly the detector processes a legitimate signal and alerts the driver; faster response is more useful especially at high speed.
Adaptivity / Learning (GPS & Memory) — whether the detector can “learn” over time (e.g., ignore recurring benign signals at certain locations) to minimize repeated false alarms.
This is arguably the most fundamental metric. The MAX 360 MKII claims “50% improved range” over its predecessor, owing to its dual-antenna M13 platform. A longer detection range means more warning time before reaching the radar — giving the driver a better chance to slow down or adjust.A detector that constantly beeps due to false positives (e.g. from automatic vehicle radars, blind spot monitors, etc.) becomes a distraction rather than a help. The MAX 360 MKII emphasizes a revamped signal-processing chip (the “Blackfin DSP”) and advanced false-alert filtering to reduce “phantom” alerts.
These factors represent the most critical aspects that will impact your satisfaction with this product.
Scoot over Valentine One, there's a new Sheriff in town and thanks to arrows on the new Escort Max 360, we know what direction he's coming from now.
I am very pleased with this MAXcam 360c. I wanted a dashcam for my truck to be prepared for any insurance scam attempt or accident. Adding the M1 or M2 wasn't an option as my existing Escort Max II was not compatible.
