This little RC boat is fun to operate, it is fast enough to send a wake splashing up on your feet while you are standing on the edge of the lake, but I don't think it goes even close to 30 mph. It looks like it may reach around 15-20 mph, and that is fast enough for this size boat, if it were any faster it would be uncontrollable in any kind of chop.
