The vacuum also includes HEPA filters for improved allergen control and supports voice and app control through Alexa or Google Assistant.
Suction strength influences how well the vacuum lifts dirt, dust, and pet hair from different surfaces. In advanced models like this, suction works with dynamic brushrolls (here, self‑cleaning brushes) to reduce hair tangles and improve debris pickup on both hard floors and carpets.
LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) enables precise spatial awareness and mapping, allowing the robot to methodically clean rooms rather than moving randomly. The Matrix Clean Navigation pattern helps the robot cover areas in a grid‑like fashion, increasing thoroughness and efficiency. This reduces missed spots and helps ensure systematic cleaning coverage.
A self‑emptying base saves significant user time by transferring debris from the robot’s bin into a larger base bin, typically holding up to 30 days of dirt and dust before requiring emptying. Bagless systems have the advantage of lower ongoing consumable costs. Combined with HEPA filtration, this helps trap fine allergens rather than releasing them back into your home.
App and voice control allow users to set cleaning schedules, start or stop cleaning remotely, and adjust settings. Integration with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant enables hands‑free operation, enhancing convenience.
Battery runtime (~120 minutes) allows the robot to handle moderately large homes on a single charge. Recharge and Resume means the robot can dock, recharge, and pick up where it left off if the job isn’t complete — useful for bigger cleaning tasks.
These navigation technologies let the robot map its environment precisely and clean in systematic, grid‑like passes. This means fewer missed areas and faster overall coverage compared with random navigation. The robot automatically empties its onboard dustbin into a larger bin that can store up to ~30 days of debris, reducing manual maintenance and exposure to dust/allergens. A HEPA filter traps up to 99.97% of fine particles (down to 0.3 microns), which is especially helpful for allergy sufferers. The self‑cleaning brushroll further minimizes hair tangles — a major benefit for pet owners. Control via the SharkClean app or voice commands lets you schedule cleans, manage cleaning zones, and start/stop cleaning easily from anywhere.
These factors represent the most critical aspects that will impact your satisfaction with this product.
best choice I've ever made! not hard to program with the prompts provided. Our "Rosie" keeps the hardwood floors and carpeted areas dog hair free! Programable to our need and does the whole house (one story), working until job complete! Amazing that she knows where to go and cleans each room. Hmmmm perhaps we could train her to make the beds too! LOL
Purchased this to replace another brand that only lasted a year. We tried to go without one but have a 70 lb golden retriever so finally caved to help pick up the hair. So far this one seems to work well. I saw some reviews about having issues with the app but I had no problems getting it set up and the house mapped. Love the self emptying base and the sensing feature that slows down when it encounters an obstacle instead of just slamming into it like the old one did. I also saw reviews about it being loud but it’s not any louder than a regular vacuum. In fact, it’s quite a bit quieter. I only mention other reviews because they are the reason I almost didn’t purchase it. So far, I am glad I went ahead and gave it a try.
